Field Visit to Support Young Mothers in Chiang Mai

Between June 26-29, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, the registrar of the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), along with Mrs. Duangkamol Ponchamni, project manager at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Thailand, Ms. Naphaphat Panma, senior district officer of Mae Ai district, Chiang Mai, and network organizations, attended a meeting with the project working team, community leaders, educational institutions, teachers, volunteers from PPAT, and other stakeholders. The meeting focused on planning collaborative work for the project “Empowering Youth to Access Comprehensive and Equal Reproductive Health and Family Planning Services.” The team also visited the homes of young mothers in the Huai Ma Fueng village, Ban Luang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai, to assess their living conditions, which will inform future efforts to improve their quality of life. This initiative is managed by PPAT and supported by the UNFPA Thailand.
