On October 14th, the mobile health unit of the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) (Chiang Rai PPAT Medical Clinic) continued its field operation at Wat Tham Phachom, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, by distributing hygiene kits to support and encourage village health volunteers (VHV) who were also affected by the floods and landslides in Wiang Phang Kham Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province (assigned to the disaster relief unit at Wat Tham Phachom). The team also collaborated in planning further assistance for those affected by flooding and landslides, through the provision of mobile health services offering sexual and reproductive health care.
The activity was conducted under the project “Meeting the Essential SRH Needs of Communities Affected by Floods and Landslides in Northern Thailand,” with funding support from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
