Empowering Youth with Reproductive Health Education in Rayong

On December 20th, Mr. Worachote Lamudthong, Project Manager, together with Ms. Pattaya Buranaprapa, Project Manager, and the project team from the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), served as guest speakers to provide education on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and effective contraception methods.

The activity took place during a practical training workshop on family planning and unplanned pregnancy prevention for youth at Wat Huang Hin School, held at Chak Bok Subdistrict Municipality, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. The event was organized by the Public Health and Environment Division of Chak Bok Subdistrict Municipality to promote comprehensive reproductive health knowledge among young people.

The session focused on student participation and included educational lectures, classroom demonstrations, and group-based activity stations on topics such as risky behaviors that lead to HIV infection, STI prevention, and contraceptive methods. The learning environment was lively and engaging throughout.

On June 15, educators from PPAT delivered a lecture on preventing sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies, as well as provided risk screening training using the “Guanteen Program,” to students at Donmuangchaturachinda School in Bangkok.
