PPAT Chiang Mai organizes youth leader training to strengthen HIV prevention skills

During March 26–27, Miss Dadchaneeya Ruttanasiri, Registrar and Youth Committee member of the association, together with public health officers from the Adolescent Clinic of Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province, and staff from PPAT Northern Office in Chiang Mai Province, organized and served as trainers in a youth leader camp. The camp was part of a project to increase access to knowledge and services on reproductive health and HIV prevention in schools and communities in the northern region. The activity aimed to provide youth leaders an opportunity to exchange experiences in advocacy work at their schools, while also training leadership skills, building confidence in communication, promoting participation with target groups, and developing effective learning processes. This was to build a systematic youth support network in the area. The event was held at Rim Doi Resort, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province. Eleven schools participated, including Chiang Dao Wittayakhom School, Mae Ai Wittayakhom School, Mae Ai District Learning Promotion Center, youth leaders from Mae Na Subdistrict, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Technical College, Omkoi Wittayakhom School, Lamphun Technical College, Chiang Rai Commercial Vocational College, Chiang Rai Technical College, Rajaprajanugroh 61 Chiang Dao School, and Mae Tueng Wittayakhom School.

This afternoon (July 29th), the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), represented by Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa, Project Manager, and project staff, collaborated with the Just Be Happy Club and the Smart Kids Club of the Student Affairs Office at Rangsit University to host an activity.
