This morning (July 21st), the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), in collaboration with the Bangkok University Clinic, organized a practical workshop to provide education on the prevention of HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and effective contraception to students at the university.The activity also included a mobile unit offering HIV/STI screening services to Bangkok University students. It was carried out under the Project to Promote HIV Infection Prevention among Youth in Educational Institutions in Pathum Thani Province. Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa, Project Manager, and the team led the activities. The main objectives were to: assess risky behaviors that could lead to STIs, raise awareness about proper self-protection methods, reduce the spread of infections.
In addition to easy-to-understand lectures, the event provided HIV/STI screening services to interested students and distributed condoms to promote safe self-protection. The activities received significant interest from the students, demonstrating the current alertness among youth regarding sexual health issues.
