PPAT Joins Rangsit University to Campaign for Safe Sex and Sexually Transmitted Infections Prevention

This afternoon (July 29th), the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), represented by Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa, Project Manager, and project staff, collaborated with the Just Be Happy Club and the Smart Kids Club of the Student Affairs Office at Rangsit University to host an activity. The event featured a mobile unit offering voluntary HIV/STIs screening services, along with education on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and effective contraception methods for Rangsit University students. This activity is part of the Project to Promote HIV Infection Prevention among Youth in Educational Institutions in Pathum Thani Province. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sorapong Wongtheerathorn, Director of the Student Affairs Office at Rangsit University, presided over the opening of the 2nd “Safe Sex, Safe from Disease” project. The objectives were to: assess risky behaviors that could lead to STIs, romote self-protection methods among youth, emphasize the importance of correct condom use for STIs prevention, condoms were distributed to participating students to encourage widespread prevention.
