PPAT Educates Youth on Preventing Unplanned Pregnancy in Educational Institutions

MOON PPAT (20)

On August 4, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) moved forward with an educational activity for youth as part of the “PPAT Moon Blood Festival” project at Petchkasem Management Technology College. The goal was to promote accurate understanding of reproductive health and the prevention of unplanned pregnancy, with enthusiastic participation from the students. The objective of this event was to raise awareness and provide essential information related to reproductive health and unplanned pregnancy prevention, covering topics such as: effective contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), sexual orientation, gender identity, and reducing bias. The team, led by Miss Serene Ramnee, the project manager, and her colleagues, prepared easy-to-understand content along with activities and games designed to encourage youth participation and open expression of ideas. Miss Serene Ramnee stated that the activity was not only about theoretical knowledge but also focused on creating a safe space for the youth to ask questions and share experiences. This approach is intended to help them make informed and responsible sexual decisions for themselves and society. The activity was well-received by the participating students, many of whom mentioned gaining new knowledge and feeling more confident in managing their sexual health. This is considered an important step in improving the quality of life and well-being of Thai youth.
