This morning, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), Pattani Office, led by Khun Saitong Doloh, Project Manager, organized a training activity to enhance knowledge and develop vocational skills for vulnerable women and girls in the three Southern border provinces: Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, under the “Project to Enhance Reproductive Health Knowledge for Women and Create Opportunities for Career Development towards a Better and Sustainable Well-being in the Three Southern Border Provinces.” The main goals are to ensure that vulnerable women and girls have improved reproductive health and sexual knowledge, can plan their careers thoughtfully, dare to think, dare to act, and make decisions independently to inspire change in their own lives and the lives of those around them, because “the right knowledge” is the power that helps create a stable life.

The training focused on reproductive health, family planning, prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and HIV/AIDS prevention. Additionally, participants developed vocational skills and basic marketing knowledge, such as SWOT Analysis (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats), calculating costs and profits, and marketing planning. The activity also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and build networks, serving as a driving force for mutual community development, which will sustainably improve the quality of life for people in the community.
