PPAT Visits IHRI to Strengthen Health Services

Between September 22–24, Dr. Ai-yakarn Ai-yakarn, Deputy Director of the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), Southern Office, led a team of staff from PPAT Medical Clinics (both central and regional offices) on a study visit to the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI) in Bangkok. The purpose of the visit was to enhance knowledge and develop the service capacity of PPAT Medical Clinics. The study visit focused on learning best practices in several areas: Dispensing PrEP & PEP (medications for HIV prevention). Promoting health and reproductive health in various dimensions. Exchanging knowledge and experiences regarding health services that are friendly to all population groups. This activity is considered an important step for the association in raising the quality of health services. The goal is to apply the knowledge gained to adapt and expand services within PPAT Medical Clinics, ensuring that target groups can access necessary, high-quality, safe, and equitable health services.

The Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand thanks IHRI for their warm welcome and sharing valuable knowledge, which will be highly beneficial for the optimal development and extension of services.
