Female Migrant Worker Rights Campaign

PPAT collaborated with Labour Rights Promotion Network Foundation (LPN) and PROUD Association to organize a campaign in the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023, on 12 March 2023, under the topic #ป้องกันและส่งเสริมเด็กผู้หญิงและสตรีรู้เท่าทันเรื่องเพศอย่างเท่าเทียม (Protect and Promote girls and women to equal sexual rights acknowledgement) through the Pilot End-to-End Referral System to Increase Female Migrant Workers’ Access to Comprehensive Abortion Care Project. The campaigned was chaired by Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, PPAT Executive Director Representative, with the presence of Mr. Sakorn Satalalai, Programme Manager, Mr. Sompong Sakaeo, LPN Executive Director and PPAT team.  There were many interesting activities within the campaign, for example, Q&A activities, music show by Migrant Workers and etc.

PPAT also took this opportunity to promote PPAT hotline call center 1452 to migrant workers who encounter unplanned pregnancy. The call center has Myanmar line that can assists during working hours.

On 22 October, Asst. PPAT conducted a training to blind and other volunteers on 3 May 2022 under the project “Covid-19 Prevention and Care Accessibility to Most At-Risk Population” at the meeting room of Thailand Association of the Blind. The purpose of the training is for the target group in 4 areas, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samutprakarn and Pathum Thani, to have knowledge and understanding on Covid-19 Prevention and be able to disseminate knowledge to their peers accurately.
