Participated in the panel discussion: “Human resource development across all ages to support an aging society

On October 25th, Ms. Serene Ramnee, Project Manager at the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), represented the Association in a discussion forum titled “Developing Human Resources Across All Ages to Address an Ageing Society: From Policy to Practice”, held as part of the launch event for Thailand’s ICPD30 Report: 30 Years of Progress in Population and Sustainable Development.

The event was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and partner organizations. The forum aimed to launch and present Thailand’s ICPD30 Report and to share key findings with experts for discussion. It also served as a platform to promote the exchange of ideas among stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public, fostering a shared understanding of Thailand’s demographic transformation in the coming years.

More than 120 participants attended the event, including representatives from government agencies, civil society organizations, international organizations, academic institutions, and youth networks, such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ministry of Public Health, NESDC, National Statistical Office, College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
