International Exchange on Reproductive Health Work

On September 24, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Director of the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), together with Khun Serene Ramnee, Project Manager, participated in an international exchange on promoting reproductive health services in remote areas, particularly among vulnerable and underserved populations. This exchange took place during the ‘Champions, Change and Challenges’ Community Engagement & Partnerships Lead Gathering, organized by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) from September 23–25, 2024, at the Rembrandt Hotel, Bangkok.

From September 9-10, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) Pattani, in collaboration with the Thammasakon Hatyai School for the Blind, organized a training session for visually impaired youth. The program provided knowledge on reproductive health, unplanned pregnancy prevention among adolescents, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and HIV/AIDS under two key projects: the Sexual Health Promotion and Capacity Building for Visually Impaired Individuals Project and the Enhancing Access to Reproductive Health Knowledge and Services in Educational Institutions and Communities Project….
PPAT collaborated with Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and Bangkhen Primary School (Waisali Anuson) to conduct activity on World Menstrual Hygiene Day to primary female students with the topic on female hygiene, types of sanitary pads and how to use them as well as distribute sanitary pads to students….
