PPAT Organizing Educational Activity on HIV/STIs Prevention

On 8 March, Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa and Khun Worachote Lamudthong, Project Managers, together with their team, organized a capacity-building workshop to strengthen communication skills for project advisor teachers and youth leaders, with the goal of developing them into AIDS leaders within educational institutions. The participants received knowledge and practiced communication skills on responsible and safe sexual behavior, as well as basic counseling techniques to enable peer leaders to reach out to at-risk youth and refer them for HIV and STIs screening services. They also learned the correct method of condom use. This activity was held under the Youth HIV Prevention in Educational Institutions Project in Pathum Thani Province, at the 6th-floor meeting room of the Somdet Uppatham Building, PPAT Headquarters. Four educational institutions in the network participated in the event: Bangkok University, Rangsit University, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, and North Bangkok University.
