PPAT Collaborates with CPF to Prevent Human Trafficking in Fisherman Labour

Mr. Somjet Srikanok, PPAT Executive Director,  with staff attended a brainstorm workshop, on 18 March 2022, to identify implementation plan and objective of the second period (2021 – 2025) of Fisherman Life Enhancement Center or FLEC, with 7 network partners, which are Khun Wuttichai Sitipredanant, Senior Deputing Managing Director in Corporate Sustainability Development of CPF, Khun Chanchai Chotchutip, Chief of Songkhla Fishing Port and Khun Nattaya Petcharat, Manager of Sella Maris at Songkhla Fishing Port.

FLEC was founded in May 2016 with the aim to better quality of life of fisherman and family in Songkhla province and to reduce labour exploitation as well as increase education opportunity to their children. There are 5 organizations which co-found FLEC, namely, Fish Marketing Organization, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand, Stella Maris at Songkhla Fishing Port and CPF.

On December 27th, Baan Horm Lamduan Elderly Care Home, operated by the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), organized a New Year 2025 celebration for its residents.
