Mobile Unit Provides Education and Sexually Transmitted Infections Prevention in Service Establishments

Last evening (July 21st), the project staff of the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), along with volunteers, continued their proactive work by deploying a mobile unit to offer voluntary HIV/STIs testing and provide education on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) prevention in the Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province.

This activity is funded by the National Health Security Office (NHSO) Region 4 Saraburi and conducted under the project “Promoting HIV Infection Prevention among Female Service Workers and Men who have Sex with Men.”

The objective is to ensure that the target groups have the knowledge, understanding, and convenient, comprehensive access to screening services.

Prof. Dr. Surasak Taneepanichskul, former President of 16th council, with former members attended the orientation to exchange experience and PPAT implementation policy as well as create a rapport with 17th council. The 17th council assigned their implementation policy to PPAT Executive Director and senior staff to develop PPAT works in accordance with PPAT objectives and missions….
