On July 2nd, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director of the Association, participated in a panel discussion titled “The Future of Thailand: Promoting Rights and Choices in Reproductive Health in a Changing World.” The discussion was held to celebrate World Population Day 2025 under the concept “For the Rights and Choices of Every Person: Building a Sustainable Future Together.” The event was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), presided over the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of “integrated policies to address fertility challenges, moving towards sustainable and inclusive population development across all age groups.” Representatives from partner networks—including government, private sector, academic institutions, civil society, and youth networks—joined the discussion to address the real challenges in fertility, noting that the issue is not about having too few people, but about ensuring that everyone has the freedom to make decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health rights and choices to promote development, rights, and choices for all, especially in the context of empowering youth and the new generation in society. The event was held at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok.

Additionally, the PPAT activity booth was honored by a visit from Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security / Vice President of PPAT, along with other executives.
