Celebrating World Population Day: Investing in All Genders and All Ages for a Brighter and Sustainable Future

On July 11th, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Director of the Association, along with Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, Advisor to the Director; Mr. Panatphong Noradee, Information, education and communication manager; and Miss Chanisiree Pumthong from the Research and Development Unit, participated in the 2024 World Population Day celebration. The event also commemorated the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (#ICPD30), under the theme “Our Common Future: Investment through Life-Cycle Approach for Sustainable and Inclusive Population and Development in Thailand” The event was organized by UNFPA Thailand (United Nations Population Fund, Thailand Country Office) and held at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok. The key message of the event was the commitment to enhancing the potential of the population to adapt effectively to future changes and an ageing society, through close cooperation among relevant sectors. This collaboration is a crucial mechanism for driving inclusive and sustainable population development for people of all genders, ages, and groups.
