On October 15th, Mr. Pongsakorn Saokhiao, Project Officer, traveled to Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province, to distribute hygiene kits to 35 households of young mothers under the age of 20 who had been affected by severe flooding. Access to the area was extremely difficult, with travel possible only by boat. The hygiene kits included sanitary pads, male and female underwear, towels, condoms, and essential daily necessities.
This activity was carried out under the project “Meeting the Essential SRH Needs of Communities Affected by Floods and Landslides in Northern Thailand,” with funding support from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
