Reproductive Health Education at Mengrai Maharaj School

On November 23rd, a team of speakers from the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) (Chiang Rai PPAT Medical Clinic/Chiang Mai PPAT Medical Clinic) visited the area to provide education on sexual health, reproductive health, and sexual violence to students at Mengrai Maharaj School. The focus was on preventing unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This activity was carried out under the project: “Meeting the essential SRH needs of communities affected by floods and landslides in Northern Thailand,” which receives funding support from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). The educational activities were enjoyable.

During 15–18 January, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director of PPAT , along with PPAT Senior staff, had a discussion and exchange with Mr. Rishikeshan Thiyagaraja, Assistant Director, and Mr. Manjula Chathuranga Liyanage, Technical Advisor, representatives from IPPF Social Enterprise Hub, to jointly discuss development approaches for operating Baan Hormlamduan Elderly Care Center to succeed, and also transferred knowledge about social enterprise operations, focusing on marketing work, which will benefit PPAT operations in the future….
On May 27th, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) partnered with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Thailand and Thammasat Khlong Luang Wittayakhom School to organize an activity for Menstrual Health Day 2025. The event aimed to promote awareness and accurate understanding of menstrual hygiene, as well as support access to sanitary pads and essential products needed during menstruation.
