PPAT Chiang Rai Medical Clinic Joins Discussion on Challenges in Abortion Service Provision

On January 21, Khun Kornrawee Sanduang, Manager of the PPAT Chiang Rai Medical Clinic, represented the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) at a meeting to follow up on the operations of the Safe Abortion Services Network in Chiang Rai Province. The meeting was organized by the Bureau of Reproductive Health, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, to monitor the operations of service units providing abortion services in Chiang Rai Province to ensure they are conducted in accordance with the established guidelines, and to allow practitioners to exchange experiences, including challenges and obstacles in their work. Meeting participants included medical doctors, nurses, social workers, and other relevant personnel. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Suraphan Sangsawang, Deputy Director of Health Promotion Center 1, Chiang Mai, and was held at the Kasalongkham Conference Room, Chiang Rai Provincial Public Health Office. Participants included representatives from the Chiang Rai Provincial Public Health Office, Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital, Phan Hospital, Mae Fah Luang University Medical Center Hospital, and the Chiang Rai Branch of PDA.
