Emergency Preparedness Planning Workshop

From November 18–21, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) organized a practical training workshop on emergency preparedness planning. The event was officially opened and welcomed by Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Director of PPAT, and featured speakers from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), ACRO Humanitarian Technical Advisor, and Ms. Diana C. Pulido Martínez, Global Technical Lead for Humanitarian Programs. The training was attended by PPAT executives and staff from all departments.

The objective of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity of staff in developing emergency preparedness plans that can be applied in real emergency situations, with a focus on reproductive health, maternal and child health, and domestic violence.

On 29 October, PPAT congratulated Ms. Warunee Tungsiri, Deputy Director of the Northeastern Regional Office and Manager of PPAT Khon Kaen Medical Clinic, on the occasion of receiving an honorary plaque from Mr. Teerasak Teekayuphan, Mayor of Khon Kaen Municipality, in recognition of her valuable contributions to the municipality. On September 11, speakers from the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), along with students from the Human Resource Management major, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), organized an educational activity on reproductive health, and the prevention of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
