On September 23, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) participated in a meeting with the Mae Hong Son Provincial Public Health Office, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and the Karenni Refugee Committee (KnRC) to exchange views and experiences regarding the challenges of health operations in the area. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss the transition of the border health system, particularly on strategic issues and future health operational guidelines, following the IRC’s plan to cease its health service provision role in the temporary shelters. This critical situation requires careful planning to mitigate potential impacts.
