PPAT would like to congratulate Mr. Jeuseng Jesu, a volunteer in three southern border provinces in the occasion of having been awarded for the 2022 annual volunteer at the Annual General Meeting 2022. Mr. Jeuseng Jesu has served as a leading volunteer who has been working with PPAT from 1992. He started with disseminating knowledge on HIV/AIDS to fishermen in Pattani province under these projects; 1. Well-Being Promotion in the South project 2. PPAT conducted the 53rd Annual General Meeting on 27 May 2023 and grant awards to annual benefactors as well as outstanding volunteers at the Grand Meeting room at the PPAT Headquarter Building. The meeting was honorary chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luedech Girdwichai, PPAT President, with PPAT 17th council members, namely, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shayaniss Kono, Secretary-General, Ms. Penpan Chittasenee, Treasurer, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Registrar, Ms. Sirichandra Balakanich and Mrs. Ameenoh Meedsen, along with youth council members, Ms. Dadchaneeya Ruttanasiri and Ms. Intharadara Chuengdee. PPAT has newly opened a clinic in Chiang Rai province to develop family planning work in the area to promote quality birth and reduce unplanned pregnancy. On 29 April 2023, Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother, organized the clinic opening ceremony at Chiang Rai clinic with the aims to; a) Serve as the SRHR learning source b) Operate as the SRHR and Family Planning service provider c) Reduce unplanned pregnancy problems within the area and nearby locations. On 27 April 2023, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director, led the taskforce to implement the project Pilot End-to-End Referral System to Increase Female Migrant Workers’ Access to Comprehensive Abortion Care with Mr. Santi Laownipon, Samutsakorn Provincial Public Health Medical Doctor and board members from Samutsakorn Labour and Welfare Office, Samutsakorn Social Development and Human Security Office, Vichaivej Samutsakorn Hospital, Samutsakorn Hospital and one representative from each Mahachai Hospitals to present project implementation and results evaluation as well as discuss referral system to refer female migrant workers to receive SRHR services. Dr, Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director, gave the opening remark on 5 April 2023 for the Peer-to-Peer activity under the project Covid-19 Information and Service Accessibility Promotion to Blind People in 4 provinces, which are, Bangkok, Pathumthani, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan. The knowledge dissemination key content focuses on life skill under Covid-19 pandemic. On 1 April 2023, PPAT conducted advisory meeting 2021 – 2025 at PPAT Headquarter Building. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luedech Girdwichai, PPAT President, along with attendees, namely, Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shayaniss Kono, General-Secretary, Ms. Penpan Chittasenee, Treasurer, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Registrar and council members, which are, Mrs. Panpimol Wipulakorn, Ms. Sirichandra Balakanich, Mrs. Ameenoh Meedsen, Mr. Wichian Neamnom, Asst. Prof. Vorapong Phupong, M.D. Asst. Prof. Sanya Patrachai as well as youth council members, Ms. Dadchaneeya Ruttanasiri, Ms. Intharadara Chuengdee and Mr. Paramet Maneerat. PPAT conducted a workshop, on 29 March 2023, to improve communication capability to Teacher Leaders who join the HIV Prevention Promotion among Youths in Educational Institutes Project (second period). This workshop was conducted to strengthen communication skills in relation with HIV prevention to Teacher Leaders and for them to disseminate the knowledge to youth in education institutes accurately.
