The show is hosted by Dr. Thaniya Pongsiri and discussed the topic “Family Planning and the Development of Quality of Life Across All Age Groups” to promote the Association and the upcoming academic seminar under the same title. The seminar is scheduled for Monday, 27 May 2024, at the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security….
On 26 April, Mr. Anan Dontree, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, chaired a preparatory meeting for the academic seminar titled “Family Planning and the Development of Quality of Life Across All Age Groups.” The meeting was held with Asst. A short while ago (5 April), Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Secretary-General of the Association, represented the elderly care or dependent care facility Baan Hormlamduan, which is operated by the PPAT, to receive the award for a private elderly care facility that benefits society on the occasion of National Elderly Day and Family Day 2024. The award was presented by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The event was organized by the Department of Older Persons, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Baan Hormlamduan is one of five care facilities that received this award. The ceremony was held at Vayupak Grand Ballroom, Centara Life Hotel, Government Complex and Convention Center, Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok….
Recently (11 April 2024), the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand, through the elderly care or dependent care facility Baan Hormlamduan, held the “Water-Pouring Blessing Activity for Songkran Festival 2024.” The event was honored by Rear Admiral Dr. Wasin Bamrungcheep, advisory board member for elderly care service center; Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director of the Association; Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, Advisor to the Executive Director of PPAT, together with the executive team, staff of the Association, residents, and their families. Everyone joined together to pour water over Buddha images and elders’ hands for blessings, to promote good fortune and preserve Thai traditions. The activity took place at Baan Hormlamduan Elderly Care Center, Vibhavadi Rangsit Soi 44, Bangkok. The atmosphere was warm and joyful….

From 11–14 March 2024, PPAT—represented by Khun Saneekan Rosamontri, Research and Development Manager; Khun Pitsamai Chailark, Senior Programme Officer for the Northern Region; and Khun Nakarin Tuyduang, Project Officer for the Northeastern Region—participated in the Inception Meeting of the Consortium to Advance Access to New HIV Prevention Products (CAAPP) held in New Delhi, India. Participants included representatives from seven countries: India, Nepal, Malaysia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, and Thailand. The meeting provided knowledge-sharing and experience exchange in preparation for implementing a 2-year biomedical HIV prevention project (2024–2025)….
During 11–12 March, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Secretary-General of the Association, together with Ms. Dadchaneeya Ruttanasiri, Registrar; Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director; Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, Advisor to the Executive Director; Khun Nuttakan Yimrit, Deputy Executive Director; Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa, Project Manager; Khun Kornrawee Sanduang, Manager of Baan Hormlamduan Elderly Care Center; and Khun Panatphong Noradee, Knowledge Management and Public Relations Manager, welcomed and held a benchmarking meeting with executives from the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) and representatives from the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). The FPOP delegation was led by Mr. Karl Vincent M. Quiepo, National President and Chair of the National Council; Ms. Mileth Miranda, National Vice President; Atty. Jon Cerlan Bangoy, Corporate Secretary; and Mr. Nandy Senoc, Executive Director. The objective was to exchange practices and explore ways to develop the administrative structure of FPOP based on PPAT’s model….
On 8 March, Khun Pattaya Buranaprapa and Khun Worachote Lamudthong, Project Managers, together with their team, organized a capacity-building workshop to strengthen communication skills for project advisor teachers and youth leaders, with the goal of developing them into AIDS leaders within educational institutions. The participants received knowledge and practiced communication skills on responsible and safe sexual behavior, as well as basic counseling techniques to enable peer leaders to reach out to at-risk youth and refer them for HIV and STIs screening services. They also learned the correct method of condom use. This activity was held under the Youth HIV Prevention in Educational Institutions Project in Pathum Thani Province, at the 6th-floor meeting room of the Somdet Uppatham Building, PPAT Headquarters. Four educational institutions in the network participated in the event: Bangkok University, Rangsit University, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, and North Bangkok University….
On 5 March, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director of PPAT, joined a dialogue session titled “#RightsChoices for Women and Girls in Thailand: Sexual and Reproductive Health – Gaps and Opportunities”, which focused on supporting women and adolescent girls in gaining full access to their sexual and reproductive health rights. The event was hosted by UNFPA Thailand at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok Hotel….
On 22 February, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Executive Director of PPAT, delivered a lecture and provided examples of service standards aimed at elevating the quality of services at PPAT clinics and Baan Hormlamduan. This was part of the Quality of Care (QOC) 2024 training, held at Krungsri River Hotel, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The session was also attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Secretary-General of the Association, who offered additional recommendations to improve the quality and friendliness of services at PPAT medical clinics, ensuring safety and standardization. This marked the third day of the intensive training….
On the morning of 21 February, staff from PPAT medical clinics, Baan Hormlamduan Elderly Care Center, and PPAT Headquarters participated in a training session focused on personality development and effective communication to elevate service quality. The session was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aunkrisa Sangchumnong and Ms. Vinita Hongrapipat from Suan Dusit University as part of the 2024 Quality of Care (QOC) training at Krungsri River Hotel in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The session was also attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sripho, Secretary General of PPAT, and Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, PPAT Executive Director, who provided operational guidance and insights.
