PPAT conducted a training to blind and other volunteers on 3 May 2022 under the project “Covid-19 Prevention and Care Accessibility to Most At-Risk Population” at the meeting room of Thailand Association of the Blind. The purpose of the training is for the target group in 4 areas, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samutprakarn and Pathum Thani, to have knowledge and understanding on Covid-19 Prevention and be able to disseminate knowledge to their peers accurately. The project is funded by Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health….
PPAT with Bayer Thailand conducted youth training ‘Learning and Sharing!!, SRHR’, on 25 April 2022, under the project “SRHR Promotion Accessibility through Virtual Education Meeting”. Mr. Somjet Srikanok, PPAT Executive Director, with Khun JinA Lee, Managing Director and General Manager of Bayer’s Pharmaceutical Department, were giving welcome remarks. The instructors of the training were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manopchai Thamkhantho, obstetrician, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sivanard Hongprayoon, Deputy Dean of Communication Arts Faculty, Dhurakij Pundit University, Dr. Phanthakan Thanon, Assistant Director of Digital Media and Creation major, and Khun Arnon Buapha, Professor of Digital Media and Creation program. The purpose of the training is to equip 60 youths with knowledge, understanding, communication skills and ability to choose type of media for unplanned pregnancy campaign in Education Institute through virtual training in which PPAT youth member, Ms. Intharadara Chuengdee, also joined the session….
PPAT Khon Kaen Clinic collaborated with Khon Kaen Hospital and Sex Worker Volunteers to conduct VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing) HIV, on 2 April 2022, to sex workers under the project ‘HIV Prevention Service for Female Sex Workers in Khon Kaen Province’….
Mr. Somjet Srikanok, PPAT Executive Director, welcomed Mr. Rishikesh Thiyagaraja and Mr. Manjula Liyanage, from IPPF SE HUB Sri Lanka, to conduct Monitoring and Evaluation of Bann Hormlamduan Kitchen implementation progress and visit Bann Hormlamduan Nursing Home as well as provide advice on business plan, marketing and social enterprise management to PPAT staff in which they also visited a clinic afterwards….
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luedech Girdwichai, PPAT President, chaired the 17th council’s orientation, moderated by Mr. Supavit Dittayanurak, at The Regent Cha-Am Beach Resort. Prof. Dr. Surasak Taneepanichskul, former President of 16th council, with former members attended the orientation to exchange experience and PPAT implementation policy as well as create a rapport with 17th council. The 17th council assigned their implementation policy to PPAT Executive Director and senior staff to develop PPAT works in accordance with PPAT objectives and missions….
Khun Warunee Tungsiri, Deputy Executive Director of Northeast Region, with staff, attended a workshop “RSA ISAN Empowerment, Challenge, Strong Together and Moving”, on 24 – 25 March 2022, to develop network capacities to prevent and solve adolescent unplanned pregnancy problem as well as provide options to adolescent and women who have unplanned pregnancy with publicizing PPAT hotline call center 1452, at Chiang Khan district, Loei province….
Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, Project Manager, with working taskforce conducted Peer-to-Peer training under the project Covid-19 Prevention and Care Accessibility to Most At-Risk Population for blind people in Nonthaburi province in order to disseminate knowledge and medical service to prevent Covid-19 infection for 29 blind persons….
Mr. Somjet Srikanok, PPAT Executive Director,  with staff attended a brainstorm workshop, on 18 March 2022, to identify implementation plan and objective of the second period (2021 – 2025) of Fisherman Life Enhancement Center or FLEC, with 7 network partners, which are Khun Wuttichai Sitipredanant, Senior Deputing Managing Director in Corporate Sustainability Development of CPF, Khun Chanchai Chotchutip, Chief of Songkhla Fishing Port and Khun Nattaya Petcharat, Manager of Sella Maris at Songkhla Fishing Port. FLEC was founded in May 2016 with the aim to better quality of life of fisherman and family in Songkhla province and to reduce labour exploitation as well as increase education opportunity to their children. There are 5 organizations which co-found FLEC, namely, Fish Marketing Organization, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand, Stella Maris at Songkhla Fishing Port and CPF. …
Ms. Ladda Jitwatanapataya, Project Manager, with her team have conducted the onsite-workshop to 27 Peer-to-Peer blind volunteers under the project “Covid-19 Prevention and Care Accessibility to Most At-Risk Populations” on 10 March 2022, at the meeting room of Bann Eur-atorn Romklao 2, Bangkok. Raks Thai Foundation and Thai National AIDS Foundation have supported the activity with the instructors from Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention….
PPAT has conducted a ‘Sexual Harassment’ workshop for activists in hybrid format, under the project “Changing Sexual Harassment against Women in Education Institutions in Bangkok”, funding supported by International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), on 26 – 27 February 2022 at the meeting room of Amari Don Mueng Airport Hotel. PPAT Vice President, Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Director General of Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development, has chaired the opening session in which youth participants in the workshop were selected by PPAT from Key Message Video Contest. The instructors of the workshop were Dr. Yongyud Wongpiromsarn, Dr. Nanthakan Sungsuman Woodham, Khun Montira Narkvichai, Khun Jomtien Jansomrag and Col. Kanokwan Srichaiya as well as instructor teams of Khun Supis Tiyim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nittha Runkasem, Khun Sirimon Puengsangwal and Khun Chawala Pawaputanont Na Mahasarakham. After the training completed, Mr. Somjet Srikanok, PPAT Executive Director, has granted the certification for the trained youths and ended the session….
PPAT and Bayer Thai Co., LTD. Conducted Peer Leaders training topic ‘รู้จริงมั้ยอนามัยการเจริญพันธุ์’ (Do You Really Know What SRHR Is?) under the project “SRHR Accessibility Promotion” through virtual education meeting. PPAT President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luedech Girdwichai, has chaired the opening session with Khun JinA Lee, Managing Director and Pharmaceutical General Manager of Bayer Thai Co., LTD. The instructor of the meeting was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manopchai Thamkhantho, the obstetrician, a council member of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, with PPAT youth council members, Ms. Intharadara Chuengdee and Ms. Dadchaneeya Ruttanasiri. The numbers of the online participants were 640 persons. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luedech Girdwichai, has stated during the opening session “I would like to thank you Bayer Thai Co., LTD. and education institutes, on behalf of PPAT, for supporting and cooperatively pushing forward the Unplanned Pregnancy Prevention campaign under the project ‘SRHR Accessibility Promotion’”….
