On September 24, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), in collaboration with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF Thailand), organized a special activity, the “MURAL PROJECT,” under the ‘Girls Act’ project (Creating Young Women Leaders in Reproductive Health in Educational Institutions). The event took place at Don Muang Chaturajinda School in Bangkok. The activity involved creating a Mural to communicate the stories, power, and values of the ‘Girls Act’ through art. The main objectives were to promote collaboration among young women, use art as a medium for inspiration and communicating project values, and enhance community pride and bonding. On September 23, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) moved forward with public health support. Miss Kornrawee Sanduang, Project Manager, and Mr. Pongsakorn Saokhiao, Project Officer—staff working on the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Response Project in Mae Hong Son Province—represented PPAT in delivering 1,200 boxes of antifungal medication. The medication, supported by Bayer Thai Co., Ltd., was handed over to the Mae Hong Son Provincial Public Health Office. It will be used to alleviate skin problems often caused by the hot and humid climate and distributed to target populations in need who still lack access to healthcare rights. This includes vulnerable groups, displaced persons from conflict in temporary shelters, and internally displaced persons. On September 18, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT) participated in a workshop to develop the border health coordination network in Mae Hong Son Province, which was supported by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). Between September 15–16, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), Pattani Office, organized an educational training activity under the “Project to Promote Access to Medical Methods of HIV Prevention” at General Education Building 19, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus. The objective of this activity was to foster a correct understanding of PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), as well as Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV/AIDS. Over 90 students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, including Sociology and Anthropology, Social Work, and Social Development majors, participated. The event featured various forms of media presentation, including printed materials and videos, along with participatory activities. On September 16, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), and the Service Workers in Group (SWING) Foundation jointly organized the third forum titled “Building Understanding on the Repeal of the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act, B.E. 2539 (1996).” Held in Phuket Province, the event was intended to open a space for exchanging views and driving solutions to issues affecting female service workers. On September 17, the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT), Pattani Office, was honored to be a speaker at the “Social Studies Seminar Project” organized by Hatyai University. The aim was to enhance students’ knowledge of reproductive health and essential self-protection skills so they can grow up safely and with quality in social, health, and sex education dimensions. On August 7, Dr. Thiraphong Kaewphomon, Public Health Physician for Ubon Ratchathani Province, received a donation of antifungal medication and medical supplies from Dr. Suphakrit Thanajirasak, resident doctor at the PPAT Ubon Ratchathani Medical Clinic, and staff from the Planned Parenthood Association of Thailand (PPAT). The supplies are intended to support the operations of soldiers along the Thai-Cambodian border and to assist civilians in evacuation centers due to the border situation.
